Chartership for Existing Designers
Accredited Chartered Status for Experienced Officials
Overview
Experienced design professionals inside the UK Civil Service who already meet top industry qualifications can apply directly for chartered status. Run in partnership with the Chartered Society of Designers, this fast-track program allows candidates to bypass coursework by submitting an assessed portfolio of their public design work.
Obtaining chartered status awards the right to use the prestigious post-nominal titles indicating work at the highest professional design standards. The program also provides continuous professional development (CPD) support and frameworks to help civil service departments maintain top-tier design capacity.
